Challenge accepted...

The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games were not only a celebration of world-class sport, but also a powerful reminder that accessibility must be at the heart of major international events. Delivering an inclusive experience for millions of spectators, including people with disabilities, required innovative thinking, operational excellence, and close collaboration across the mobility ecosystem.

In record time, Padam Mobility demonstrated its ability to deliver a reliable, robust, and fully adapted technical solution.

Technical expertise at the heart of the service

To meet this challenge, the organisers partnered with Padam Mobility, tasked with delivering a bespoke transport service for people with reduced mobility (PRM) in an exceptionally complex environment - characterised by dispersed venues, restricted traffic zones, and demanding timelines.

Key results of the successful deployment

  • 10,700 trips during the Olympic and Paralympic Games
  • 97% ride-sharing rate for all journeys
  • High reuse rate with an average of 5.4 trips per passenger
  • High operational flexibility with 50% of trips cancelled or change

These results, acknowledged by the event organisers, reflect the strength of the partnership between Paris 2024, Île-de-France Mobilités and Padam Mobility, and their shared ambition to make mobility more inclusive.

They further underline Padam Mobility’s role in Demand-Responsive Transport, showing how real-world operational challenges can be turned into practical, more accessible mobility solutions.
