"One of the most compelling aspects of the service is its inclusiveness, as it addresses the needs of different population groups, especially those who do not have easy access to mobility options, such as people with reduced mobility. The service allows them to indicate while booking if a wheelchair space is needed. In addition, the booking options cover all age groups: young people are used to making bookings via the app, while older people prefer to talk to a 'real person'."

Padam Mobility has implemented an efficient and flexible on-demand-mobility solution to meet the needs for modernity and digitalisation of the DRT offer in the Ahrweiler region of Rhineland-Palatinate, a rural state in southwestern Germany located between Frankfurt and Bonn. Since September 2020, this area has been served by the DRT Wohin-Du-Willst NOW network. The extension of the service to other territories is already planned, which will contribute to making the network one of the largest rural DRT services in Germany.

Wohin-Du-Willst NOW on-demand services are accessible via an app, phone or via a dedicated booking website. They are integrated into an itinerary calculator which includes all other public transport services in the area.

Through the Wohin-Du-Willst NOW app, users can easily view the ride options. The app also integrates local information from DB Regio's "Wohin-Du-Willst" mobility platform and thus offers intermodal travel information.

The rides offered by Wohin-Du-Willst NOW are integrated into the travel management system used by DB Regio (for control, billing and operational quality management of its 4500 buses). All operational information is made available to DB Regio employees in real time via a management interface.

With Wohin-Du-Willst NOW, DB Regio works with several subcontracted cabs that provide off-peak transportation with a fleet of up to 130 vehicles. In addition to the user application, Padam Mobility provides cab drivers with a driver application.

Why Padam Mobility ?

 • Simple and flexible operation of the service in fixed lines and fixed hours.
 • Efficiency of itinerary and vehicle filling optimisation algorithms
 • Partnership with Hacon, which has facilitated the integration of the DRT solution into the overall local mobility offer in a MaaS logic.
