How did the Orleans Metropolitan Area modernise its Demand-Responsive Transport network?

How did the Orleans Metropolitan Area modernise its Demand-Responsive Transport network?

Since 2018, the Orleans Metropolitan area entrusted Padam Mobility to renew and optimise its Résa'TaoDemand-Responsive Transport network.

As a shared mobility solution that opens up peri-urban areas and guarantees quick and easy access to the existing transport network, the Résa'Tao service is now more dynamic, flexible and intelligent. The user experience has been enriched, the ride search and booking has been improved, and the availability of the service has been increased.

In 2019, the Résa'Tao service was gradually extended to other areas of the Orleans Metropolitan Area to cover 9 zones with a fleet of over 19 vehicles. On the strength of these conclusive experiences, both in terms of ridership and user satisfaction, Orleans Metropolitan Area decided to extend the service to 4 new, redesigned zones on 3 January 2022, with some 40 vehicles in service 7 days a week.

Padam Mobility

As a key player in shared mobility, Padam Mobility meets the objectives of rebalancing the transport offer in sparsely populated areas and allows all users to move around with more freedom. The company designs and develops dynamic and intelligent Demand-Responsive Transport solutions (DRT and Paratransit) based on artificial intelligence:

Users book their rides in real time or in advance via an application, a website or a call centre.

Drivers follow the evolution of their itinerary which is optimised according to bookings.

Thanks to a dedicated management interface, transport operators can supervise operations and collect the data needed to continuously improve the service.
